Systems can be designed to signal confidence levels, highlight ambiguity, and encourage users to treat outputs as guidance rather than unquestionable authority.

The goal is not to eliminate risk entirely. That is rarely possible with any widely used technology. The goal is to make the benefits substantial enough, and the safeguards strong enough, that adoption becomes rational rather than reckless.

If they become widely available, they could function as a kind of distributed cognitive infrastructure: a system that helps individuals reason through practical problems, not by thinking for them, but by making structured guidance available at the moment it is needed. The emphasis here is important. This is not about outsourcing judgment entirely. It is about reducing the friction involved in reaching a workable understanding of a situation.
